ClearStar offers three ways to dispute your background report: phone, email, and mail. ClearStar will have 30 days to look into your dispute. They will need to verify the information that they have is accurate. If they cannot verify the false information, they must remove it from your background report.
Dispute tips: Keep records of all your conversations with ClearStar. Note the date and times, who you spoke with, and what you spoke about. Do not mail original copies of your documents; keep the originals and mail them a copy. If you dispute by mail, send it by certified mail so that you know when they received your dispute.
