Johnson, Jasmine v. HireRight. Claimant applied for, and was offered a job at a large local employer. She started her job, and during her first week was called into HR to discuss the contents of her background report that had just been run. HireRight provided the employer with a background report that contained multiple convictions related to another person. As a result of the convictions on Claimant’s report, Claimant was temporarily suspended until the report could be corrected.
Cory Bunch v. HireRight. Mr. Bunch was delayed in getting a job with Summit Electrical Supply because of an inaccurate criminal history reported by HireRight. HireRight failed to report current and up to date information about a criminal record and, therefore, inaccurately reported a misdemeanor as a felony.
