J. Jackson v. CrimCheck. – In or around March 2021, Ms. Jackson applied for employment with The Job Center (“TJC”). In or about March 30, 2021, TJC requested from the Defendant (CrimCheck), and the Defendant sold to TJC a consumer report concerning Ms. Jackson, which was inaccurate. The inaccurate information includes, a felony with an active warrant which does not belong to Plaintiff. Due to Defendant’s faulty procedures, Defendant mixed the consumer report of Plaintiff with that of at least one other consumer. Any rudimentary check of the public record information would have received these inaccuracies, such as middle name, address and physical characteristics. As a result, Plaintiff was denied employment. She did not dispute.
