Did Your First Advantage Background Check Contain Errors?

Most employers today use background checks in the hiring process. Unfortunately, mistakes on background checks are common. Errors on a First Advantage background check can keep you from getting the job.

The most common background check mistake is incorrect criminal history. This is often the result of a mixed file. A mixed file is when information belonging to another person shows up on your report. Unfortunately, mixed files can happen by having the same name or similar name or same birth date at someone else with a criminal history.
